21 like the days we are quarantined at home here in Milan, with this whole pandemic situation swinging between surreal and tragic.
After all these days I am learning that it is not the rule to have photo opportunities outside, maybe in exotic locations. Instead I need to be much more flexible as a photographer, and able to recognise a valuable image even in the most difficult place to explore and photograph: home.
Nobody knows how many more days we are expected to stay home isolated, so I intend to use this time to exercise my photo skills. Street will be impossible to shoot, so I will rely on still life (maybe some interior, also?).
I already know that I will keep on comparing my photos with those of other super talented and professional photographers out there and wondering why mine are terrible. Ah, the *perks* of having insecurity and self-doubt as ever-present frenemies!
In the end this might be a good exercise on consistency. We see what I’ll come up to…
