LIQUID JADE [BRAIES LAKE]

SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A… JADE

At the beginning of September F proposed to spend few days on the Dolomites and, althought that was a destination that scared me a lot (I don’t like heights and prefer sea over mountains) I accepted the challenge.

I never refuse any opportunity to discover somewhere new, and I happily discovered that every little step and sight was far beyond my expectations.

One of the first places we went to was the famous Braies Lake, which we hoped to see beneath some golden sun. Instead the weather was not particularly shiny, it was overcast instead, but in spite of that, the lake’s colour was an incredible jade green, I couldn’t believe my eyes!

We went trekking around the lake’s perimeter (harder than expected, I must confess) while enjoying scenes of nature in its full glory, of people taking photographs, others were relaxing on the grass, others were spending time paddling the numerous little boats that always fill the lake.
