I knew nothing about Tivoli one year ago, when F proposed to spend there few days for our summer break last August.
He showed me some random pictures of places in the area and immediately I was enamored and counted down the days to see them live!
Unfortunately, we didn’t have too many days to see the ancient beauties which fulfil that area at a slower pace, so we concentrated as much as we could in few dates literally jumping from one ancient beauty to another.
We explored the opulence of Villa D’Este, the magnificence of Villa Adriana, the nature of Villa Gregoriana among many hidden gems such as the Sanctuary of Hercules Victor.
But what truly left me completely speechless was the nearby Roman Aqueduct area which took my breath away: never could I imagine such colossal dimensions, and I am sure that my photographs doesn’t do it justice – so you should go visit yourself, you’ll thank me later!
