Paul Weller’s was one of those unexpected beautiful live shows that made me wonder why I dedicated so little time to listen to his music.
Seriously: energy, class, melody, incredible musicians – why have I missed such things in these latest years?
“You do something to me” was probably the excellent exclusion of the evening, but I was so very happy he played “Wild Wood” because the very first time I met F, the band he was playing with was playing that song, so it has a special place in my memories and heart. Also, it was the necessary positive boost I needed after some very sad days due to the sudden pass of my best friend few days ago. Music has such a healing power.
Unfortunately (for young people) the concert was a matter of an old audience (F and I included of course eh eh eh), which enjoyed every single minute of it with big and long-lasting cheers.
